Session 2 - Digital Preservation
It’s been over four years in the making but Trinity Grammar School, Sydney has progress and information to share from our Digital Records journey. Paul Queeney (Head of ICT) will give an update on this important, long-term initiative of the school. As Paul and the team have learned, patience is the key! Digital Records Management can seem a somewhat insurmountable and intractable problem at the start, however with the right support and an open outlook – this conundrum for our age can be solved. Hopefully some practical tips and insights will enable your school to pick up some momentum and get beyond the adage of “it’s an ICT problem, let them sort it out”.

Session 3 - Harnessing AI for Smarter Data Capture: A Practical Approach
Schools generate vast amounts of data, but capturing it accurately and efficiently remains a challenge. In this session, Anthony will explore how AI is being leveraged to enhance data capture processes, improving accuracy and reducing manual input efforts. Drawing on real-world applications, he will share insights into the journey from traditional data management approaches—such as Enterprise Service Buses—towards AI-driven solutions that streamline data intake. Attendees will gain a practical understanding of how AI can be integrated into school systems today, with a glimpse into future possibilities for AI-assisted data analysis.

In this session, we will explore the integration and analysis of data from various sources into a single, cohesive system—referred to as Unified Data and Analytics. We will review how this approach provides educators with a comprehensive view of student performance and behaviour, enhancing pedagogy by enabling personalised learning, identifying trends, and improving outcomes. Additionally, we will discuss how unified data supports effective student management through progress monitoring, timely interventions, and efficient resource allocation. By the end of this session, participants will understand how leveraging unified data and analytics can create a more responsive and personalised learning environment.
