Session 1 - From Spreadsheets to Seamless

How we transformed recruitment and onboarding with Microsoft 365 & Cognito Forms

Recruitment at many schools still relies on spreadsheets, Word documents, and email chains. In this session we'll share how we built an end-to-end workflow using Cognito Forms, SharePoint Lists, Power Automate and Power Apps that takes a recruitment request from approval right through to onboarding, creating a streamlined and auditable process that saves time and improves visibility for leaders.

Speakers  Kylie Van Der Zee - Human Resources Officer & Roald Schutte - Database and Applications Administrator, Rehoboth Christian College

Session 2 - Leveraging the Power Platform to build practical school solutions

This session will demonstrate how St Hilda's has used the Microsoft Power Platform to transform paper-based processes into secure, automated digital solutions using tools already available in the Microsoft 365 A5 licensing. Through examples including asset management, library sign-in and approval workflow applications, attendees will gain insights into deploying low-code solutions. The presentation will demonstrate the process and highlight how schools can leverage existing Microsoft technologies to reduce administrative workload and reliance on third-party platforms.

Speaker:  Taylor Buckingham, ILT Operations Lead, St Hilda's

Session 3 - Journey to the Cloud at Rehoboth Christian College

Explore how  the ICT team at Rehoboth Christian College deliberately shifted from a traditional on premise environment to a predominantly cloud first model — without leaning on IaaS. Come see how the college reduced its on prem footprint from more than a dozen servers to just two VM hosts, eliminated local Active Directory, and simplified operations through service led platforms such as Microsoft Intune, Juniper/Mist and PaperCut. Attendees will gain insight into the decisions, trade offs, and practical lessons learned along the way.

Speaker: Nathan Yurisich, ICT Manager, Rehoboth Christian College

Using technology and process to build trust at scale
