Session 4 - SFIA & Cyberpath

SFIA gives us a clear way to define and grow capability across technology teams, while initiatives like CyberPath are building national pathways, recognised skills, and accreditation across the cyber workforce.

Digital Pulse data shows demand for these skills is growing across every sector, which means we need structured pathways from entry-level through to leadership roles.

In Tasmania, this is also an education opportunity. By recognising the technology skills students already have and applying frameworks like SFIA, we can create clearer pathways from Year 9 to 12 into industry, further study, and careers, strengthening both individual outcomes and our broader economy.

Speaker: Stuart Brinsmead, Australian Computer Society
